By joining our Winter “WIPS” Club this will entitle all our members unlimited access to ALL Open Sews in our warm and cozy classrooms!!

Open Sews are unstructured opportunities to enjoy 3 hours of uninterrupted sewing/quilting time. Bring your own projects and socialize at the same time in our cozy classroom.

Come join a great group of ladies, bring along a handwork project and share the joy of stitching in hand together. Whether it be hand applique, embroidery English Paper Piecing, or cross stitch, enjoy sharing, inspiring and supporting one another while enjoying 3 hours of uninterrupted stitching in hand in our warm and welcoming classroom.

Enjoy 3 hours of uninterrupted sewing/quilting time, and gather with other quilters, and share ideas, stories and your own creativity. Bring your sewing projects, quilting/sewing supplies, and friends. Our classroom features 6 brand new machines for your use, or you are welcome to bring your own. Sew, Share and create! 

Enjoy 4 hours of uninterrupted sewing/quilting time, and gather with other quilters, and share ideas, stories and your own creativity. This is a great opportunity to start or finish some of those special gifts or give your bin of UFOs some much deserved time and attention! Bring your sewing projects, quilting/sewing supplies, lunch and friends.

The Lori Holt Scrappiness is Happiness Club offers a welcoming space to share your progress, ask questions, and celebrate the joy of quilting. Bring your favorite scraps, swap ideas with fellow club members, and enjoy hands-on guidance as you work through the book’s creative projects. Each session promises a friendly atmosphere and plenty of inspiration to help you turn your fabric into cherished quilts, all while building lasting connections with other enthusiasts who appreciate the beauty of scrappy sewing.

Lori Holt Crazy Quilt Paper is used in creating fun, unique piecing out of 10" fabric squares or one Layer Cake. Lay your Crazy Quilt Paper on your choice of fabric, cut along the lines and make a finished Crazy Quilt block that finishes at 8". Lori’s Crazy Quilt Paper will be available for purchase prior to the class as well as a wonderful variety of Layer Cake options.

Making a quilt for the first time, I’m here to guide you through this journey to success.

We will focus on accurate cutting, what a 1/4 seam versus 1/4 scant seam means,

pressing, not ironing and the importance of reading through the pattern(s)/instructions. You will learn simple techniques for fabric selection, rotary cutting, quick and accurate piecing, binding and quilting, and you will come away with your first beautiful personally created quilt!

The economy quilt block is a beloved vintage quilt block and now Lori Holt,

of Bee in my Bonnet, has revived it with foundation paper piecing. This

beginner friendly pad gives simple measurements and cutting directions to

achieve point-perfect and extraordinary blocks every time.

  These Zippy Bags by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet for Riley Blake Designs is a lightweight canvas fabric that includes the pieces and instructions to make a small (9" x 8") project bags.
